New MHB Studio Lab coming soon!
I’m very excited to announce the development of the new MHB Studio Lab! I’m still in the planning stages of the new studio, but initial plans are clear this is going to be a significant upgrade to my current set-up. Some of the new gear is listed below. The new studio will be designed around a 60’s -70’s vintage feel and sound. I will be utilizing both old and new technologies in order to create a warm, analog, vintage sound. I think digital and analog technologies should go hand in hand because they both have sonic advantages. From Reel to Reel recorders and vintage ribbon and tube mics to HD quality digital interfaces and the new Universal Audio Plug-ins, the studio will capture that true sound you’re after. Each song is different, each recording is unique and each instrument or voice calls for something different. Having the best of both worlds, allows me to achieve the best sound specific to the source.
Stay tuned, as I will be adding updates and pictures of the process every step of the way!

UAD-2 DUO DSP Accelerator Card and Plugs
a workhorse of modern mixing, giving producers and engineers unrestricted access to award-winning UAD Powered Plug-Ins on Mac or PC. This DSP Accelerator package includes several of Universal Audio’s most popular “analog classic” plug-ins — the LA-2A and 1176 Compressors/Limiters, and the Pultec EQP-1A — for rich, vintage sound quality right out of the box. Thanks to its PCIe card with dual SHARC processors, the UAD-2 DUO provides twice the processing boost of the UAD-2 SOLO, allowing for larger mixes. Better still, it gives users full access to the UAD Powered Plug-Ins library, including some of the best-reviewed plug-ins of all time.
